Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Rectangles ("Rectangles," "we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with the Fake Location Control Android application (the "App"). By installing or using the App, you acknowledge the practices described here. This page is intended to describe the current production configuration; it is not legal advice.
1. Information the App accesses and stores
The App requests precise and approximate device location so it can display the device’s current position, center the map, calculate location-related values, and provide the location-control features selected by you. When you enable mock-location functionality, the App may provide selected or generated location values to Android’s mock-location framework.
The App may request notification permission, foreground-service permissions, and permission to display over other apps when you enable the floating joystick. The overlay permission is optional and is not required for ordinary map use.
Settings such as selected coordinates, signal values, randomization preferences, joystick preferences, consent-related app state, and service state may be stored locally on the device. The App does not require a Rectangles account for ordinary use.
2. How the App uses location
Location is used to operate the App’s map, marker, joystick, randomization, direction, and mock-location features. Based on the current App design, these feature values are intended to be processed on the device and passed to Android’s location framework when the relevant feature is enabled. Rectangles does not intentionally receive a server-side copy of those feature values through the ordinary operation of the App.
3. Advertising and Google Mobile Ads SDK
The App uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK to request and display Google-served advertising formats, which may include app-open, interstitial, rewarded, and native ads. Google and its service providers may automatically process information such as the device’s IP address, device and account identifiers including the Android advertising ID or app set ID where available, advertising and App interactions such as launches, taps, and video views, and diagnostic or performance information. These data may be used for advertising, analytics, measurement, security, and fraud prevention, subject to Google’s policies and the choices available in the applicable consent message.
Google may use an IP address to estimate a device’s general location for service, security, or advertising purposes. The App does not intentionally send the App’s selected mock coordinates or precise device-location readings to Rectangles’ own server. Google’s handling of information collected by its SDK is governed by Google’s policies and terms, including the Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Advertising may be personalized or non-personalized depending on applicable law, your choices, Google’s consent signals, and the availability of advertising inventory. The App requests ads only after its UMP consent flow reports that ads may be requested; the Mobile Ads SDK and UMP signals determine the applicable ad treatment. If consent is not available or advertising is restricted, ads may be limited or unavailable.

4. Consent, privacy choices, and withdrawal
The App uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) SDK to request current consent information and display the applicable published privacy message, including European regulations messages and applicable United States state privacy messages, based on the user’s region and the configuration in the AdMob account.
The App’s separate first-install Welcome screen explains and links to this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service. Accepting that screen does not replace Google’s UMP consent process. UMP may present an additional Google privacy message when required.
After UMP initialization, the App provides a Privacy settings option at the bottom of the main page. You can use it to reopen Google’s privacy-options form and change or withdraw applicable consent choices at any time. Privacy choices may affect the availability, personalization, measurement, or type of ads shown. You can also manage Android advertising identifiers and related device permissions through Android settings. UMP’s stored consent signals are managed by Google’s SDK and may be retained or updated according to Google’s policies and applicable requirements.
5. European and United States privacy choices
Where applicable, UMP may present the European and United States state privacy message configured in AdMob. Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights relating to access, correction, deletion, opting out of sale or sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling. The available choices and legal rights can vary by country or state. Use the App’s Privacy settings option to review the choices made available by Google’s UMP flow. 6. Sharing, service providers, and external links
Rectangles does not sell the location generated by the App and does not operate a server-side user account system for ordinary App use. The Google Mobile Ads SDK and UMP SDK share or process the information described above with Google and relevant service providers as necessary to provide advertising, consent management, measurement, security, and fraud prevention. Google may use independent advertising technology providers according to the choices and disclosures in the applicable UMP message.
The App may open Google Play, this policy page, or other external pages when you choose an appropriate button. External services are operated by third parties and are governed by their own privacy policies and terms. The App may also display map data supplied by third-party map providers; those providers may process requests according to their own terms.
7. Google Play purchase and entitlement information
If you purchase a prepaid premium plan, Google Play processes payment, transaction, purchase, and entitlement information under Google’s applicable policies. The App may receive purchase or entitlement status from Google Play so it can determine whether premium features should be available. Rectangles does not receive or store your full payment-card details. Google Play’s handling of purchase information is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and applicable Google Play Terms of Service.
8. Permissions and user control
You can control permissions through Android settings. You may deny or revoke location, notification, and overlay permissions, and you can stop the mock-location or floating-joystick services from within the App or Android system controls. Revoking a required permission may prevent the related feature from working. You can also reset the App’s local data or uninstall the App to remove locally stored App preferences, subject to Android and third-party SDK storage managed independently by those providers.
9. Retention and deletion
App preferences stored locally remain on the device until they are changed, reset, the App’s data is cleared, or the App is uninstalled. Rectangles does not provide a separate server-side account deletion process for ordinary App use because the App does not require a Rectangles account. Data processed by Google Mobile Ads or UMP is retained and deleted according to Google’s policies, systems, and applicable legal requirements. 10. Children’s privacy
The App is not directed specifically to children and is intended for users who can lawfully use Android mock-location and developer settings. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through a Rectangles account or online form. Google’s UMP and advertising treatment may also depend on age-related settings and applicable law.
11. Security
We use reasonable measures appropriate to the App’s design to limit unnecessary data handling. Google states that data collected by its Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit using TLS. No device, operating system, transmission method, or third-party service can be guaranteed completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your device and reviewing the permissions granted to the App.
12. Changes and contact
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App, its permissions, advertising or consent configuration, Google Play purchase integration, or applicable requirements change. The updated version will show a revised effective date. Questions about privacy can be sent to rectangles62@gmail.com.
Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Fake Location Control. The App is provided by Rectangles. By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Eligibility and lawful use
You may use the App only where permitted by applicable law and by the rules of the device, platform, game, service, employer, school, network, or other system with which you use it. You are solely responsible for obtaining permission to use mock locations and for complying with all third-party terms.
2. Intended functionality
The App provides tools for selecting, displaying, and supplying test or simulated locations through Android’s mock-location mechanisms. It may include map selection, coordinate search, accuracy and altitude controls, randomization, manual joystick movement, a floating joystick, direction visualization, and advertising-supported features. Availability and behavior may vary by Android version, device manufacturer, location provider, advertising availability, consent choices, and other applications.
3. Prohibited uses
You must not use the App to commit fraud, deceive another person or service, evade lawful tracking or safety controls, interfere with emergency services, violate another party’s privacy, disrupt networks or devices, or violate the rules of a game, application, platform, employer, school, or service. You must not use the App in a way that creates a safety risk or causes another system to make a consequential decision based on a simulated location without authorization.
4. User responsibility and risks
You are responsible for every location value generated or supplied using the App and for checking whether mock locations are active before relying on any displayed position. Simulated locations can affect navigation, emergency response, access controls, games, financial or commercial services, and other software. Do not rely on a simulated location for emergency calls, personal safety, medical care, legal compliance, or any situation requiring an accurate physical position.
5. Advertising and third-party services
The App may display advertisements supplied by Google Mobile Ads and may use Google UMP to present consent and privacy-choice messages. Ads, consent forms, privacy options, availability, and measurement are controlled partly by Google and may vary by region, device, user choices, and inventory. Your use of Google services is also subject to Google’s applicable terms and policies, including the Google Terms of Service and AdMob policies.
6. Prepaid premium plans and Google Play Billing
Certain premium features may be offered through prepaid plans purchased through Google Play Billing. Before you complete a purchase, Google Play displays the applicable plan, price, currency, duration, and other purchase terms. A prepaid plan provides premium access for the purchased period and does not automatically renew. To continue using premium features after the prepaid period ends, you must complete a separate extension or new purchase when available.
Google Play processes the payment, applicable taxes, purchase confirmation, payment method, and any refund request according to Google Play’s applicable terms and policies. Rectangles does not process or store your full payment-card details. You can manage eligible purchases and review purchase information through Google Play Payments & subscriptions. Uninstalling the App does not itself create a refund or extend the prepaid period.
Premium access may end when the prepaid period expires, or if Google Play reports that the purchase was refunded, revoked, or is otherwise no longer active. Product availability, prices, currencies, taxes, and purchase options may vary by country and Google Play account.
7. Permissions and services
Some features require Android permissions, Developer options configuration, a selected mock-location provider, location services, notifications, or the display-over-other-apps permission. You authorize the App to use those permissions only when you enable them. You may stop services and revoke permissions at any time, subject to Android’s controls.
8. Intellectual property
The App, its software, user interface, branding, graphics, and documentation are owned by or licensed to Rectangles and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited right to use the App on a device you control in accordance with these Terms, no ownership rights are transferred to you.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. Rectangles does not warrant that the App, ads, consent forms, or third-party services will be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with every device, accepted by any third-party service, or capable of producing a particular location result.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rectangles will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, access, accounts, revenue, profits, reputation, or device functionality arising from or related to the App or these Terms. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
11. Indemnity, suspension, and termination
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Rectangles and its contributors from claims, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your misuse of the App, your violation of these Terms, your violation of law or third-party rules, or your use of a simulated location. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it and revoking its permissions. Rectangles may discontinue or restrict the App or any feature where reasonably necessary for security, maintenance, legal compliance, or protection of users and third parties.
12. Changes and contact
Rectangles may update these Terms when the App, advertising configuration, or applicable requirements change. The revised version will show a new effective date.
